PPP Task Force

The PPP-Task Force is the 'executive agent' for the NRW PPP Initiative.
It operates as a clearing house for knowledge and is a central contact point for the private and public sectors, especially local authorities interested in PPP solutions.
Besides initiating and supporting pilot schemes, the Task Force focuses on the standardisation of the PPP process, and regularly publishes guidelines on specific topics (see 'Publications'). This process is designed to improve legal and commercial certainty for all stakeholders, i.e. awarding authorities, potential bidders, and consultants. The introduction of suitable standards is also a way of speeding up processes and cutting costs, again for all stakeholders.
With a view to learning from experience, pilot projects in North Rhine-Westphalia are continuously evaluated, with the results incorporated into the guidelines.
International PPP experiences are assessed for domestic applicability.
The Task Force's functions also include the identification of further options for PPP in North Rhine-Westphalia.
